Leone Webster and her husband, Guy, moved to Ojai’s East End in 1980 to raise their children, Jessie and Merry. Both daughters attended Oak Grove School, where Leone has chaired the school’s board of directors since 2010. She is also on the board of the Krishnamurti Foundation of America. Concurrently, she has been an SCMWC board member since 2017. Leone’s professional career began in New York City, where she successfully worked as a fashion model and actress. She then moved to Los Angeles in the late 1970s with an acting contract at Universal Studios. Years later, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Organizational Management and a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution, both from Antioch University. From 2000 to 2013, Leone was Supervising Mediator for the Santa Barbara Superior Court. Always active in the Ojai community, Leone was at the forefront of the movement to stop the development of the Weldon Canyon landfill in the early 1990s. Today, her many interests include swimming, hiking, fine-art painting, and book club.
