Charlie Bosson moved his family to Ojai in 1993. He has graduate degrees in Literature and Landscape Architecture, and worked as a Landscape Architect for nine years in Los Angeles and New Hampshire, where he served as Project Manager for a historic redevelopment of a former Shaker settlement. Upon moving to Ojai, Charlie worked for a couple of years with local architect Joe Amestoy before changing his focus to technology. In 1997, he joined Digital Sound in Carpinteria as a technician and began a career that led him to become a software engineer working for multiple startups in the Santa Barbara area. By the time he retired in 2018, Charlie had earned credit for eight software patents. Ojai locals may know Charlie from his guitar playing as a member of the Household Gods. He has been married since 1987 to Caryn Bosson, a noted Ojai activist. Their children, Julia and Philip, attended The Thacher School and Oak Grove School.
